BNP Paribas IDX30 Philanthropy Social Fund Touches IDR 1.9 Billion

PT BNP Paribas Asset Management (PT BNP Paribas AM) together with Citibank NA, Indonesia (Citi Indonesia) again distributed social funds from the BNP Paribas IDX30 Philanthropy Index mutual fund to five non-profit organizations to fund regional competency development programs . 

This is done to disseminate how investment products can provide benefits and social impacts to the community and the environment in the long term, in addition to continuing to strive for potential financial investment returns.

Citing his official statement, written Thursday (20/10/2022), this year the social funds collected have increased by 35 percent or Rp. 1.9 billion compared to 2021 and have almost tripled from 2020 of Rp. 750 million. 

This mutual fund is exclusively available throughout Citi Indonesia’s consumer banking network. Since its launch in 2018, the number of BNP Paribas IDX30 Philanthropy investors has shown a sharp increase of up to 50 percent. 

The distributed social funds are a form of real commitment to impact investment products where a portion of the total managed funds is allocated for philanthropic purposes.

“This social fund represents the impact investing commitment of our mutual funds to investors. Going forward, the company will continue to strive to innovate to complete investment solutions that have an impact in the future,” said PT BNP Paribas President Director AM Priyo Santoso, quoted Thursday, October 20, 2022. .

Priyo hopes that, together with business partner PT BNP Paribas AM , his party can disseminate the concept of impact investment. So that they can contribute to sustainable and inclusive development.
